The purpose of PGSA is to provide all participants the opportunity to play softball through the teaching of fundamentals and good sportsmanship.

About Us

Placerville Girls Softball is dedicated to providing fun and competitive fastpitch softball to girls ages 4 1/2-18. Our league is open to ALL girls of ALL abilities. PGSA parents and coaches remember that this league is ‘for the girls’ and prides itself in providing a fun and learning environment.

The main focus of our league is the spring recreation season. Practices start the first week of March and the regular season runs from early April through the first part of June. Our season ends with a weekend double elimination tournament to decide the season champions. PGSA also participates in NORCAL’s All-Star and Winterball programs.

League age is determined by the players age on or before December 31st 2008 prior to the 2009 playing season. The Initial T-ball age is determined by the player’s age on or after July 1st 2008.

PGSA serves the communities of Camino, Coloma, El Dorado, Diamond Springs, Lotus, Placerville, Pollock Pines, Somerset and surrounding areas. Our home field is at El Dorado High School in Placerville.

Board Members

The success of Placerville Girls Softball depends on the tireless efforts of parents who volunteer and perform the various functions of the league.

You don't have to be a Board Member to get involved with the League. There are many opportunities out there for you to get involved. You can volunteer for committees (i.e. All-Star, Winter League and New Fields etc.).
